Sydney Buses Travel Guide
To explore Sydney’s fascinating history, landmarks and attractions, Sydney Buses will safely and comfortably take you wherever you decide to go.
You can visit famous attractions in air-conditioned comfort with no bookings required, listening to commentaries on Sydney’s renowned landmarks. Both the red Sydney Explorer and the Bondi Explorer offer this service, also allowing you to hop on or off anywhere, anytime, exploring at leisure and taking spectacular photos along the way.
The Sydney Explorer crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge, visits the Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, Kings Cross, The Rocks and Darling Harbour. You can board from any stop along the route at convenient 20 minute intervals.
Your ticket includes free travel on regular Sydney buses up to midnight on the same day as well as free travel on the Bondi Explorer. Or you may choose to purchase tickets for the Bondi Explorer alone.
Departing from Circular Quay every 30 minutes, the Bondi Explorer takes you through Sydney’s Eastern suburbs to Sydney Harbour, with its magnificent bays and beaches, including Bondi, the world famous surfing beach.
Sydney has many more delights to offer. You may prefer to take a regular Sydney bus to investigate interesting places not included in an organised tour. If so, buses leave major interchange terminals every 15 minutes. All you have to do is pick up your Sydney bus timetable and plan your route through Sydney and it’s environs.
Full journey details, timetables and fare information can be found on the Sydney Buses website.
